4th Annual Pet PRIDE! Back

GULFPORT, FL, March, 2012:  The 4th Annual Pet PRIDE event is scheduled for Saturday, April 7th, 2012 from 4:00PM to 10:00PM, 3129 Beach Boulevard South, Gulfport, FL 33707

Pet PRIDE Magazine, along with Pet PRIDE Events has taken over this annual event to benefit non-profit organizations St. Pete Pride and the newly formed Pets4Dorothy (a non-stop fundraising effort to assist struggling LGBT pet parents with their veterinary financial needs).


This year, the event will be held along Beach Blvd in downtown Gulfport to create a street party type venue complete with a variety of vendors and live entertainment happening throughout the day.


Also added this year is the new, trademarked event-within-the-event called the “BIG GAY PET PARADE”.  Following the St. Pete Pride theme this year, attendees and their fur-kids are encouraged to Dress To Impress “CARNIVALE” Style and join the parade of many who will strut their stuff in parade form up Beach Blvd with the Grand Marshall of PET PRIDE leading the way!  Local celebrity judges will select the 2012 King and Queen (Pets) of Pet PRIDE from the parading participants. The winners will be crowned during the event and will hold the title until the 2013 event where they will give up their crown to the new king and queen.  To enter the parade, a $5 entrance fee per pet to benefit St. Pete Pride and the Pets4Dorothy non-profit organizations.

 
Event activities include:

· The Big Gay Pet Parade

· Live entertainment by local music talent

· Silent auctions with high end merchandise, travel opportunities and more

· Raffles with prizes ranging from $25 - $100 in value

· Vendor booths offering FREE product samples, (pet, PRIDE & people) products for purchase, pet treats, veterinary advice, rescue organizations with adoptable, Smooch-A-Pooch booth and many others.


More Details:

·       Vendor space and Sponsorships are being offered to businesses interested being a part of this fabulously fun annual event in support of our local LGBT and LGBT pet parent communities.

·       Local businesses are also encouraged to donate items for the silent auctions, with the proceeds being divided between St. Pete Pride and Pets4Dorothy.

·       Vendor space is free for Non-Profit Organizations.

·       The event is free to attend.

·       Parking is free and space is ample.

·       Well behaved pets and their leashed people are welcome.
