5th Annual Ybor Afficionado Days Back
The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce will hold its 5th Annual Ybor Aficionado Days Saturday, April 9th and Sunday, April 10th to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the manufacture of the first cigar in April 1886. This up-scale, two-day event will begin Saturday afternoon with a Tapas Trail touring over a dozen of Ybor's fine dining establishments. This will be followed by an After Party/Smoker at the historic Italian Club. The event continues on Sunday with an elegant brunch at the world famous Columbia Restaurant on La Setima - Ybor City's main street.
"For the 125th Anniversary we had added more restaurants and will have transportation 'Powered by Chevy'," said Tom Keating, President and CEO of the Ybor Chamber. "I understand from some of our sponsors that a complimentary pass to Aficionado Days is just the ticket for expressing "client appreciation."
Saturday afternoon, April 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM sample tapas at well-over a dozen of Ybor's quality restaurants. At 6:30 PM, head to the elegant Italian Club to listen to Spanish jazz, sample spirits, pasteles and café con leche. Step down into the Club's Cantina and enjoy a complimentary, premium cigar provided by Tampa Sweethearts Cigar Company.
On Sunday, join us for a sumptuous Spanish Brunch at the Columbia starting at 11:30 AM. The elegant, traditional buffet will be laid out in the Patio Courtyard with the entire Siboney Room reserved for dining. Observe the results of our second Tapas Cooking Challenge and listen to the sounds of Les Sabler, Tampa's jazz guitar phenom.
Tickets for the Tapas Trail and After Party/Smoker are $35 in advance; 40 day of event and tickets for the Jazz Brunch are $45.
