As Iowa legislators mull over repealing the state’s legalizationof gay marriage in 2009, a flash mob supporting same-sex nuptials in the state danced to the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” in the statehouse rotunda yesterday. At the same time, a video by an Iowa grandmother supporting her gay son and expressing her outrage over the attempt to ban gay marriage is making the rounds online.
As California cotinues to battle over Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in the state, for the first time a recent poll found that the majority of voters there believe same-sex marriage should be legal. The largest increase in support came from Republicans and independents.
Donald Trump said that if he decides to seek the Republican presidential nomination, his opposition to gay marriage would be part of his campaign platform.
The world record for longest kiss, set by two gay male college students in New Jersey last September, was broken by a straight couple in Thailand during a Valentine’s Day kissing contest.
Prince Harry, playing the role of best man for Prince William’s upcoming wedding, plans to book a kinky lesbian burlesque act for his brother’s stag party.
