Florida Senator and Tea Party favorite Marco Rubio said that President Barack Obama’s decision to no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act is “regrettable.” He also lauded House Majority Leader John Boehner’s creation of a five-member panel to determine whether to instruct the House’s nonpartisan Office of the General Counsel to continue defending the law.

In commentary written for website World Net Daily, Chuck Norris blasted the public educational system, calling public schools “progressive indoctrination camps.” He went on to lash out at “pro-gay school propaganda,” before calling the schools biased for their liberal agenda and slamming them for encouraging students to “freely experiment sexually [and] forcefully defend[ing] issues like abortion and homosexuality,” among other things.

Colorado has made the first step in advancing its same-sex civil unions legislation, which was passed by the State Senate yesterday. The bill will now move on to the House.

REM frontman Michael Stipe says that he’s 80 percent gay, but doesn’t want to be coined as bisexual because “it feels like just another label.”
