Michael LynchePreparations for First Night St. Petersburg 2010 are in full swing and celebrants will enjoy a wide range of Tampa Bay’s finest performing artists on several stages. This year First Night St. Petersburg is pleased to announce Michael Lynche St. Petersburg’s own American Idol will headline this years celebration.Michael a graduate of Gibbs High School was the fourth place finalist during season 9 of American Idol and was the second finalist ever to receive the judges ‘ save.Lynche is a new hop artist best described as a cross between Gnarls Barkley, Outcast and R. Kelly. His high-energy sound is called the "Dirty Blues" where gritty southern soul meets dirty south hip-hop.Michael spent the summer on the American Idol 2010 Summer Tour and is happy to celebrate the New Year in his hometown.Buttons for this year’s celebration will go on sale December 1, 2010 and a complete schedule of artists, performers and venues will be available soon. Advanced prices for buttons are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free. Online sales include a service charge that covers postage.
