Gay and Lesbian Events in Tampa and St Pete 6/2/2011 Back
Looks like we are in for a very busy June as we kick off PRIDE month. St Pete Pride has so many events and activities it will be hard to keep up--but we'll try!

Just to give you a heads up on a few things. This Saturday is Pride Family Fun Day at Fort Desoto! Bring the kids, and the family and come out to enjoy a full day of fun.
After you get back from the beach--head over to the the Glazer Children's Museum for dessert and raffles to support Francis House--which serves HIV/AIDS clients in Tampa for GO EAT TAMPA. Meet up there at from 9-11pm --Just a $20 donation. This is one of the most worthy groups out there--so PLEASE pop on over.
If fast action on the flat track is more your style, then you'll want to catch the The Over the Rainbow bout of the Tampa Bay Derby Darlins. Flat track roller derby moves fast-and you'll have no idea how they keep score, but it is a BLAST! Bring a lawn chair and get up close to the action.
Closing out the weekend will be another St Pete Pride event, when Transgender Forge names the best male impersonator at Mr St Pete Pride.
This weekend is also Gay Days--so if you are heading to Orlando, make sure that you check out EVOLVE, which is three days of parties at Mr Sisters as a fundraiser for Orlando's Come Out with Pride. For ALL the Gay Days events check out Watermark's Guide.
We have been busy this week with the launch of the myQpons.net website. It is a social buying site (like Groupons and Living Social) but will only send out deals from gay owned or gay supportive businesses. And we'll only send out one or two a week so you aren't inundated with lots of less than FABULOUS offers. Our tag line is "something this FABULOUS doesn't come along every day!".
Our first offer was for party tickets to Fire & Ice Weekend event. Watermark and ALandCHUCK.travel have taken over the Postcard Inn for for glorious days around St Pete Pride June 23-26. You'll be able to come and stay or just come over and play. With the largest pool on St Pete Beach, Gulf Beach access and music all the time, this is going to be our own gay days... On Saturday June 25 (St Pete Pride) there will be parties from 2pm until 3am. DJ's Irene, Power Infiniti and Luis Perez will be spinning throughout the day to keep the party hopping. At 8pm there will even be another spot for the ladies to dance upstairs, with one of the best balcony views around.
