Gay Events in Tampa and St Pete Back
There is so much going on that it is really hard to keep up, but that is why we are here!
Have you heard about the Club Crawl TO Orlando from the Tampa/ St Pete Area? You'll board a luxuary bus, head to Orlando, and have VIP experiences at The Parliament House, Pulse and the new Mr Sisters! This trip is almost sold out 6 weeks in advance! Who buys tickets in advance? April 23rd is the date and the price is just--get this $19 per person. It is a special event from myQmunity.com, AlandCHUCK.travel and What's Happening Magazine, and it benefits St Pete Pride. The only place you can book it is on the myQmunity.com website--so hurry up!
There are a lot of ways to do good while having fun. We have a number of those coming up in March. First off, Lanes for Change put on my Outings & Adventures. This benefits Creative Clay, a very worthy group. Join this fun bowling event on March 5th.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is hosting it's 24th annual Bark in the Park a walk and event to raise money for the society.
Is Art more your thing-then you have to check out the Gasparilla Art Festival on Saturday and Sunday March 5th and 6th at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa. Right next to the Museum of Art. Oh sure this isn't a gay event per se--but c'mon--you'll see at least 5 people you know! (probably a lot more!)
Speaking of the Museum of Art--make sure that you get Pride & Passion on your calendar for May 21, 2011. This is the 6th year for this event and it continues to grow. This year the entertainment is sure to WOW. Proceeds from the event will be going to support the amazing Degas exhibit Degas: Form, Movement and the Antique, that will be at the Museum at the time of the event.
There will be not one but TWO lesbian comedians coming into town in the next month. On March 12th Vickie Shaw heads over to PLAY to share her insights on life and love and on March 26th Suzanne Westenhoefer comes to the Palladium in St Pete.
Another one to get on the calendar is A Taste of Pride which will be held on March 19th at the new Dali Museum in St Pete. The event will feature food from over 15 different restaurants, wines and craft beers. Get your tickets now.
Lots more going on, including, we hear, a kick off party for openly gay city council member Steve Kornell on March 19th--head there before the Dali--and give him your support!
Last up for this post, Fire & Ice at St Pete Pride. This one is brought to you by Watermark Media and ALandCHUCK.travel. They have taken over the Postcard Inn in St Pete for the whole weekend and it is going to be THE place to be. Parties, swimming, fireworks, more parties, special events and MORE. Details to come! And myQmunity will be there too!
