Just announced! Sophie B. Hawkins will be performing in St Pete on March 18th. Opening for her will be local bands Someday Souvenir and Elysian Sex Drive.
Calling all golfers! Miss playing in a big tourney? Play and contribute to great causes like Francis House and MCC Tampa. This is the 3rd Annual Golf FORE Life.
If you love a good cabaret performance, check out the New American Theater in St Pete. It is a small space with big voices. This weekend they will be journeying through the song book of Johnny Mercer, songs like "Autumn Leaves" and "Old Black Magic" will move your soul.
This is a great month for theater. Outings & Adventures is hosting an event sponsored by myQmunity.com for a performance of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff" at American Stage.
The New American Theater will also mount a production of Songs for a New World from March 24-April 10th. This new theater is all about the musical! This musical is by Jason Robert Brown who is being hailed as one of the smartest and most sophisticated songwriters since Sondheim.
March is Women's History month and USF and Out & Equal will be honoring women at the Women's Herstory Celebration on Tuesday March 8. It is a free event at USF.
Also on March 8th is the Tampa Bay Business Guild Meeting. This one features Sunny Hall who is the CEO at Hillsbourgh Kids, who will talk about how the lifting on the ban on adoption by gay parents could affect you.
