The National Organization for Marriage’s website inadvertently posted a pro-gay message before crashing last Friday. NOM posted a link to a comic by cartoonist Zach Weiner, who changed the image on his site to a rainbow flag and a Thomas Jefferson quote about equality for all when he found out the organization used his work to reflect their antigay positioning. After encouraging his fans to take screenshots of the rainbow flag prominently posted on NOM’s site, it crashed.
Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad said that he thinks the state made a mistake in legalizing gay marriage.
Actor Shia LeBeouf got into a bar fight in Los Angeles over the weekend, after being provoked by a gay slur that was aimed at him.
Auditions got underway for MTV’s new show, the tentatively-titled Under the Boardwalk, an all-gay version of the insanely popular Jersey Shore. Show creators say those auditioning modeled themselves after Jersey Shore cast members, though they weren’t simply looking for imitations.
