Happy Pride Month!
We have been busy at myQmunity.com with the launch of our new product, myQpons.net. It is a social buying site (like livingSocial) but only from gay owned or supportive businesses. We launched with tickets for the FABULOUS Fire & ICE Weekend that will surround St Pete Pride.
Fire & Ice is 4 days of pool parties, dance parties and activities at the Postcard Inn on St Pete Beach. The Postcard Inn will be ALL GAY for the duration. With the largest pool on St Pete Beach and beach front access, this is going to be a great time. You can stay for 2-4 days, or buy a day pass to any of the parties. You can book at Watermarkonline.
The Ice Party is even the OFFICIAL after party of St Pete Pride.
Speaking of PRIDE, on Saturday June 11-you can join with some friends for PRIDE BEACH CLEANUP to clean up St Pete Beach near the Postcard Inn (and get a sneak peek at this retro-fabulous hotel). Creative Loafing and Barefoot Wines are sponsoring, so you know it will be a great time!
Ladies, if you like wearing skimpy outfits and knocking people down, then Roller Derby might just be for you. There is a recruitment boot camp on Saturday June 11 to give you some minimal skills that you'll need to make the team.
Saturday night, STAYING ALIVE a 70's themed dance will benefit ASAP (AIDS Service Assn of Pinellas) We hear that over 200 people have already bought tickets--AND there is a $50,000 match for ticket sales. We met with William Harper (the ED at ASAP) yesterday and had a great conversation about how we can continue to build our relationship with them. Look for a blog to be coming from ASAP soon, as well as more info on the AIDS walk in September.
Tampa MCC is having A Night at the Races on Saturday as well. If you like betting on the Ponies, this might be your chance!
On Sunday-there are a lot of opportunities for church services--In addition you can also check out Savory Spice Shop for their special class Culinary Herbs for Digestive Health.
Have you checked out our friends at Outings & Adventures recently? They are a group that puts together outstanding get togethers for Gays and Lesbians. Upcoming events include an incredible POLE DANCING FITNESS exhibition.
If you are looking for Karaoke on Sunday, check out the Chelsea on Florida, they are the "CHEERS" of gay Tampa.
Looking to learn about Social Media? The Tampa Bay Business Guild is hosting a dinner/training program (sponsored by Watermark and St Pete Pride) called Social Network 101. Come out and welcome the new president (returning president) Dr Scott Barry and learn about some of the social media and ways to put it to use for your business. Tuesday June 14th.
Also on Tuesday, St Pete Pride will perform a DRAG Turnabout--Those participating will entertain the crowd with a number and incredibly fabulous outfits, all while reaching for your dollar bills!

Pride Night at the Rays-get together with other LGBT people at the Rays game. on June 17th.
SPORK is the PRIDE film offering for the Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in June--and if the film itself isn't enough there will be Live auctions for TWO amazing trips. One is a TWO WEEK CRUISE and the other is an AMERICAN IDOL/Cirque du Soleil VIP Weekend in Orlando (including a Backstage meet & greet). June 22nd.
Sound Garden-Looking for a Saturday afternoon T-Dance? Check out the patio at the Chelsea for an afternoon hosted by DJ Power Infiniti and NY singing sensation Frankie Presley. (pictured at the right-he is GORGEOUS and can really sing!) June 18th.
