Metro Wellness and Community Centers Receives Check $122,624.16 Awarded from The SMART Ride
Metro Wellness and Community Centers was the recipient of a check for $122,624.16 on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Metro was one of six HIV service-providing agencies in Florida that benefitted from 2011’s SMART Ride, a bike ride from Miami to Key West that raised over $675,724 this year to make a difference in the lives of those infected, affected and at risk for HIV/AIDS.
Metro Wellness and Community Centers would like to thank everyone who rode, crewed and cheered throughout The SMART Ride during its eighth year of successful fundraising, including Watermark – who sponsored Metro.
“Words alone cannot express the appreciation our clients have for this event,” said Lorraine Langlois, Executive Director of Metro Wellness and Community Centers. “All of us are so thankful for The SMART Ride, which has become an enormous blessing.”
