New 527 group mailer attacks Rose Ferlita for being “Unmarried” Back

Last night we wrote a post about the increasing aggressiveness of Rose Ferlita in her race against Bob Buckhorn for Tampa mayor.
Over the course of the past week, the former City Council woman and County Commissioner has blasted Buckhorn for being an elitist, and airing a television ad that blasts him about several different issues in just 30 seconds.
But overnight Ferlita has become the recipient of an attack against her, though it’s not directly from Buckhorn, but a 527 group called Less Government Now that gives a South Howard Avenue mailing address on the front page.
On the mailer’s front page it reads, “A closer look at Rose Ferlita and she just withers away,” while below the mailer says “Unmarried. Unsure. Unelectable.”
On the opposite side, under the Unmarried category, it reads: “Rose Ferlita has put her political ambition first and foremost, while her opponent is a dedicated family man with two children – Ferlita is an unmarried woman with a suspect commitment to family values.”
It also blasts her for not having a detailed plan as Buckhorn and criticizes her for being tentative about high speed rail, and also hits her with the familiar charge of questions about her temperament
But a “suspect commitment to family values.” Not sure where that’s been proven in her 12 year record in office, but we know what that’s insinuating.
