North Pinellas Pride Oct 16-23 Back
The second annual North Pinellas Pride weekend will be held October 16th through the 23rd with a variety of activities throughout North Pinellas including Dunedin. This year’s main sponsors are :
St.Paul’s Lutheran Church of Clearwater, Bud Light , St.Petersburg Times, Brady Karlin Events and Beso
Del Sol.
The mission statement of this year’s committee is to bring awareness to anti-Discrimination, Anti-
Bullying and Equal rights. The City of Dunedin and Pinellas County have been on the forefront in passing
legislation to protect all individuals in the past several years.
The host hotel, The Beso Del Sol, located at 1414-1420 Bayshore Blvd, in Dunedin, will host a fundraiser
on Sunday October 2nd to benefit the North Pinellas Pride effort. "The Ladies Who Lunch...or are
they!!! Big Hat Brunch" will begin at 11 am, with ShowTime at 1 Pm, in the new Marker 8 Venue at
Beso Del Sol, sponsored by Zing-A-Ling Cupcakes and Absolut Vodka. The gospel style show will feature
a local choir opening with songs from the Broadway show Sister Act. The emcee is a former Miss Gay
Us of A, Miss Natasha Richards with guests Chelsea Pearl, Miss Continental Plus 2011 and Aspen
Love, a former Miss Mardi Gras Dunedin. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased to reserve your seat at

“Pig Out for Pridessake” Join us for a rockin Kalua Pig Roast with live entertainment. Enjoy a night of
LBGT pride at one of Clearwater’s lesbian owned seafood shaks, Naughti Nancy’s. You can taste some
of Nancy’s delicious seafood at the Pioneering Pride in the Park event also.
Dunedin Lanes, on Patricia Avenue in Dunedin, will host an evening of bowling, fun and a show featuring
the newly crowned Miss NPP 2011 and special guest from NYC Jessica Foxx and our pride emcee Miss

Friday, Oct 21st, will be the opening reception at Beso Del Sol, by the pool, at 6 PM. Activities that
evening will continue with a show at Blur nightclub in Downtown Dunedin, to include a cast of their
finest female impersonators, in a show starting at 11 pm... The Jolley Trolley will have regular service to
the downtown on its regular scheduled route from the host hotel.
Saturday October 22 will be "The Absolut Pool Party” produced by Brady Karlin Events and hosted by
Beso Del Sol will be from 11 am until 4. Dj Gus along with boys a go go and hosted by Natasha Richards
and Jessica Foxx from NYC. Games, prizes, giveaways and specials by Budweiser and Absolute.

The Main Event...”Pride in the Park" will be Downtown Dunedin at Pioneer Park at Douglas Avenue

Dance” will follow at Blur nightclub at 5 ish. Downtown merchants and restaurants will be open for
business that day in support of NPP 2011. Partners like Nancy’s Fancy and the Livingroom, both on
Main Street, and Salon Couture, on Broadway, will offer specials to our guests enjoying the weekend of
festivities.
