St. Pete City Council Member Steve Kornell Announces Campaign Kickoff Back

On March 19, 2011, Council member Steve Kornell invites the public to
help him kickoff his campaign for re-election to the St. Petersburg City
Council District 5 seat. The event will also celebrate his 45th birthday and
will be held at The Yard in South St. Petersburg (formerly Shackleton’s
Folly) where Kornell’s victory party was held in 2009.

“If it seems like we just won an election” says Kornell, “it’s because we just
did!” Council member Kornell was elected to a partial term created by
former Council member Jamie Bennett when Bennett stepped down to run
for mayor. “I was humbled by the amount of support we had during our last
campaign with over 200 volunteers, and I am thrilled to see the same
enthusiasm beginning to emerge”, said Kornell, “I’ve been honored to serve
this great city, and I look forward to continuing to serve the residents of St.
Pete.”
