St. Pete Pride to host Taste of Pride at the New Dali Museum Back
After a two-year hiatus, St. Pete Pride will bring back the popular Taste of Pride event, featuring restaurants throughout St. Petersburg on Saturday, March 19, 2011.
The event marks the first major event for St. Pete Pride in 2011 and will also be the first LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) fundraising event to be held at the NEW Dali Museum since opening its doors on January 11, 2011. The event is slated to feature 15 restaurants, wine pairings by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and their partners along with a selection of craft brews from Great Bay Distributors.
“We’re excited to have this opportunity to bring Taste of Pride back, especially at such a wonderful venue,” said Executive Director Chris Rudisill. “The excitement surrounding the Dali matches our excitement for 2011 and we hope that everyone will come out to taste the wonderful food featured by the many restaurants that support our community.”
In partnering this year with Pride & Passion, held at the Tampa Museum of Art on Saturday, May 21, 2011 the event will also feature a chance for guests to win a Pride & Passion Prize Package valued at $350 featuring accommodations for two in the guest suite at the Element, two tickets to Pride & Passion 2011 at the Tampa Museum of Art and a Sunday brunch for two in downtown Tampa. “It’s just another way that we’re working to reach across the bridge and celebrate the partnership we have with Pride & Passion, which will serve as the Official Kick-Off Event for Pride Season in Tampa Bay this year,” said Rudisill.
Taste of Pride is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Dali Museum, located at One Dali Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL. Tickets are $35 in advance, available at www.stpetepride.com and $40 day of the event. Each ticket will include up to 10 tastings or beer/wine selections. Additional tastes can be purchased at the event. The Dali Museum galleries will be open from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for attendees. All proceeds benefit St. Pete Pride.
